Oh Just Cheney getting caught
This video is actually quite sad in a way. I mean, it's a damn shame when you can get better news reporting from a comedian on the comedy channel, than you can from the major news networks.

1. I love that clip!
The Daily Show is the only reason I have not shot my TV!

2. Welcom to DU, ClayZ!
:hi: Jon Stewert is an excellent source for the news.

He's so cute, but how sad is that?

3. Thank you, Dear!
I just jumped right in and made myself at home!

Thank you all for your voices!

The Weight of a Snowflake
"Tell me the weight of a snowflake," a coalmouse asked a wild dove.
"Nothing more than nothing," the dove answered.
"In that case I must tell you a marvelous story," the coalmouse said. "I sat
on a fir branch close to the trunk when it began to snow. Not heavily, not
in a raging blizzard. No, just like in a dream, without any violence at all.
Since I didn't have anything better to do, I counted the snowflakes settling
on the twigs and needles of my branch. Their number was exactly 3,471,952.
When the next snowflake dropped onto the branch--nothing more than
nothing -- as you say -- the branch broke off."
Having said that, the coalmouse ran away.
The dove, since Noah's time an authority on peace, thought about the story
for a while. Finally, she said to herself, "Perhaps there is only one
person's voice lacking for peace to come to the world." - Source unknown

5. Sort of related to that is this:
"When nothing seems to help, I go and look at a stonecutter hammering away at his rock perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it. Yet at the hundred and first blow it will split in two, and I know it was not that blow that did it, but all that had gone before."
-- Jacob August Riis

I once saw that on an office wall at the Seattle Labor Temple, and immediately wrote it down on a notepad. I've been passing it on ever since.

8. Critical Mass
I can feel it at the last several protests I have been to. Doubleing in size each time. Pretty soon we will OVER come!

We did it in the late 60s and early 70s we can DO it again!

Then we will watch them do the PERP walk.

If you are in Seattle, hear it live daily in front of Starbucks at the Pike Place Market. Tip generously!

9. I do most of my grocery shopping at the Pike Market
and will be looking for you there. My usual routine is to shop and then drop by the Left Bank Bookstore and catch up on my (free) reading. Then buy a magazine or book there, and head acros the street to Seattle Best Coffee, for a lieeeeesurely "Americano - double-shot" (with pastry). Reading material in one hand, coffee in the other ... after all these years, I've finally managed to simplify my (few remaining) pleasures. Then head homewards.

I'll be by soon enough, but in the meantime --- KEEP THE FAITH!

10. Crossing Paths
We must have because Seattle Best was my first choice until Local Color took over half of the Garden Center. Coffee is better and a new Art Show every day. Lots of reading room and overstuffed chairs in the back.

We are at the market selling our wares on the craft line. Listen for a piper along the craft line. Ask folks for ClayZ, they will point you too us. We are the Pipers. We sell in person most Saturdays. However our friend will be there in our place this following Saturday.

Left Bank Book is Great. I get pockets full of LEFT pins and hand them out to the flock. We also frequent the free table and shelf outside. I need to remember to put some back...soon!
