Moroccan monkeys - part of the coalition of the willing.
Edited on Mon Jan-24-05 01:10 PM by Cyrano
Just listening to Al Franken who was talking about "the coalition of the willing." Evidently, one of the "willing" was Morocco who offered "land-mine-detonating" monkeys. Obviously, we're talking about monkeys turned loose in mine fields to run around and detonate land mines (by stepping on them).

I'm not sure if these poor monkeys are needed. After all, we have enough Republicans who are willing to go along with King George, and would no doubt run through mine fields for him if he asked them to.

1. To be fair, I think they are TRAINED monkeys.
I saw a recent article that trained rats were exceptionally for mine clearing.

3. I was listening, also and I just happened to think
these monkeys are not a part of the coalition of the willing, they are the coalition of I don't have a damned choice!

5. Actually, that was part of my point.
Although the monkeys don't know that they're being sacrificed, many
Bushies would do it willingly. After all, haven't they spent the last four years spitting on the constitution and worshiping their fuhrer?

6. For Bush, monkeys no different from our troops, anyways
Both are being offered up as bomb fodder. American troops have no more choice than the monkeys.

I still have to laugh at this one. The "coalition of the willing" gets more and more pathetic!

7. These poor monkeys ought to have fathers who can get them out of...
..."land-mine-detonationg" duties and put them into the Moroccan equivalent of the Air National Guard ahead of everyone else, like a certain monkey in America had back in the day.
