Fuck you. How's that for "anger"?
I finally saw the "controversial" footage while watching Tom Brokaw interview John Stewart on NBC, and it would only be considered "over-the-top" to people who are accustomed to falling asleep listening to John Kerry or Wesley Clark.
There are two groups of sharks who smelled blood in the water after that -- reporters who needed to fill 30 seconds with the Dean meme, and anyone else from another campaign.
I look forward to distorting all of your candidates in the same manner very soon. Hey, it's politics, right?

1. The Daily Show barely touched it |
|
and made fun of Kennedy's explosive introduction of Kerry and then of Kerry's somber victory speech.
Really, if you were to just turn the volume down, show both Dean's and Kennedy's speeches, you would think Dean won Iowa.

3. Exactly how I felt when I saw it. |
|
And the second time, and the third, and the fourth, and the fifth...
The media thinks it's got something and it's running with it. In the meantime, photogenic candidates Kerry and Clark get heavy hitter coverage.
And the more I see it, the more I think: Dean.
And I was only leaning his way before.

5. It isn't the speech or the tone that freaked people out... |
|
...it was the woo-haaa at the end of it.
Some found it comical (like me) Some found it disturbing.
