The Daily Show has a Clear Pro-Dean bias
They didn't spend nearly enough time making fun of his speech and compared his enthusiasm with Kerry's sober victory speech. They even went as far as to ridicule Ted Kennedy for his explosive introduction of Kerry.

Meanwhile, they did a whole segment on Dean in Iowa - ignoring the other canidates completely. Why does The Daily Show want to see Dean go against Bush? Is Rove pulling Stewart's strings?

2. Dude, I cannot believe you're crying about that.
They said Kerry was boring.

Meanwhile:

Dean "will be driving to all those states in Truckasaurus on SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY!"

Played the "yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" twice now, and you can bet your ass it's the Moment of Zen

Played a clip of Dean clearly not knowing when to say "The cow says moo" and looking out of touch

Making fun of Martin Sheen and Rob Reiner

Making fun of Dean fumbling with his bus door

In short, stop crying - you need discipline.

Later.

6. That's what I'm saying.
Dean was the butt of the joke, willing and unknowing, a LOT more than Kerry, and Lum is bitching over Kerry being called boring once. lol

21. That was the worst part...
He was pointing his thumbs at himself, rolling his eyes back in his head, and cackling like a madman.

10. Considering the rest of the WORLD has an anti-Dean bias...
...I'd say The Daily Show is pretty fair and balanced. :D

15. I agree, they could have really gone off on the 'Yeah!'
But instead they compared it to Kennedy's equally enthusiastic introduction of Kerry and then, when you are expecting an excited Kerry, we got Mr. Somber.

16. I want Dean on The Daily Show
I do think Dean would do great in that environment. Sometimes, though, I think he is too much 'Dad' and not enough 'candidate.'

Either Trippi's a dumbass for it, or they're afraid Jon will get him so loose he'll REALLY say something embarrassing.

19. Aside from that snide closing comment...
...yeah, Dean should've been on The Daily Show by now. Edwards "announced" on it, Kucinich has been on, a couple more have been.

20. Jon's good though, he isn't about the gotchya
Which is why Right Wingers like him also. He is challenging but at no point in time does he assume he knows more about something than his guest, unlike O'Reilly who seems to only have guests to prove to himself he is smart. And when the guests out smart him, he has to shout them quiet.

For any candidate, The Daily Show is a safe zone.

22. For some reason, it's not cool to like Dean...even Letterman is
smearing him in his monologue tonight. Letterman also make fun of Kucinich frequently.
