Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn's focusing on bashing Kerry, no Dean.
Edited on Tue Jan-20-04 11:39 PM by robsul82
Making the usual "He looks like the Grim Reaper" comments, although one interesting one was "like a seahorse with a JFK wig on."

Edit: Plus they made fun of Gephardt crying at his exit speech.

Later.

1. I was a little concerned when I saw him speak Sunday night
on C-Span. He looked really worn out. Then I saw Howard on C-Span tonight from NH and he was losing his voice and coughing. It's really a grueling schedule, it's a wonder they don't all get sick.

4. What way does Colin Quinn swing politically?
I only ever catch the first five or so minutes of Tough Crowd when it airs after Conan O'Brien here in Aus (and it's always a couple of months late, anyway) and I usually just find myself annoyed by whatever any of them have to say and switch off straight away. So, left, right, centre or unsure?

5. He's a Republican. A BIG one.
He's a big Bush/Iraqi War supporter.

8. I thought so.
Whenever I see him, he's making some totally insane, irritating comment. Thank heavens I can switch him off with ease.

7. He's a puke
but he is fair-minded (more because he has this show and wants to keep it).

9. Colin Quinn declared proven Saddam was behind 9/11 based on ridiculous
Colin Quinn declared that it was proven Saddam was behind 9/11 based on ridiculous memo discovered(?) by rightwing Sunday Telegraph which not only supposedly proved that Saddam was behind 9/11, but also that he sought uranium from Africa.

15. Right wing racist sexist - one of the vilest people on TV
Every once in a while I forget to flip the channel after the Daily Show and I catch part of it - not good for the blood pressure. One time they were talking about the Kobe Bryant case and were so racist about Bryant and even MORE sexist about the rape victim. I thought that that show would be yanked off the air in 2 seconds - but no problem....

Compare that to what happened to Bill Maher...

6. I hate Colin Quinn's "show" BUT they actual did Kerry a favor
one guy on there was pro-Kerry it seemed and stuck up for him. THey also talked about his stance on guns and agreed with him and Aff. Action. It was a good spot to get him more attention.

If looking like the Grim reaper is Kerry's only fault then that's not bad.

10. If there is an Irish Anti-Defamation League they should be all over...
Quinn's ass. He does nothing to do dispel the stereotype of a drunken, bone-headed lout. "Micking up" pays good money for Quinn.

16. If he hasn't been taken off the air yet for one show that I saw he did -
no one will ever - unless, of course you happen to make a negative comment about Bush.....

14. when did he turn gop ?
i don't remember him as a gop type when he was on snl. i don't watch his show now but only hear from others who do that he is a bushie. i'm thinking it could be 9/11 which is what also got dennis miller to be a bush whore. they were angry at liberals for opposing bush on the war related issues.

13. Colin Quinn isn't funny...
He tries to be. But it really comes off badly. It's really quite pathetic. The few seconds of "Tough Crowd" I've seen he was cheering the war.

I myself have always changed the channel after the Daily Show.
