Bayh - "We are attempting to accomplish the right thing in Iraq" |
|
Yes - he said he would vote against Rice - but Jeez Loooeeez - we was a complete war apologist. Never said that Rice did anything to mislead us into the war or anything. He took issue with how the was has been fought. It was a lame argument.
Bayh also said that he is all for nation building in Iraq. It was like he was trying to be a neo-con and a democrat at the same time.
Kennedy, Mark Dayton of Minnesota "Our President, wrong, wrong and wrong", and Carl Levin gave great speeches impugning Rice's integrity.
Mark Dayton went so far as to say he had to get his info from the Washington Post and the New York Times because this administration wasn't telling him/congresspeople what was going on.

1. Now that's the Bayh I know! |
|
Oh well, still not "Bayh-ing" him for prez in 2008.
(Will never forget how he looked like he wanted to jump Rumsfeld's bones during the Abu Ghraib hearings.)

4. I also found his ideas about the bathists (sp?) pretty baffling |
|
Why would the old Iraqi army have wanted to join with the Americans?
Maybe I am missing something...but I think they were pretty happy with the gig they had going.
If I were them I sure as hell wouldn't want to join with an invading power so I could diminish my own style of living.
I am glad however that he won't vote to confirm Rice.

gets up and says that well no war is going to go perfectly... and it's was a reasonable rebuttal to what Bayh said.
The only argument they can make against someone like Dayton is something like "it's mean to say she is lying" (Even though they have all the evidence).

6. Yes! KBH's blather was like a SNL skit! |
|
She uses Rice's previous position at Stanford as proof that she can be a capable Sec of State?
Yeah...OK (What the hell? LOL)
If this weren't all so disturbing it would be hilarious.

Good grief, I hope he does not decide to run in 2008.
Nice looking, but....
