Why Do Rush And Imus Make Disparaging Remarks About The Appearance Of Others |
|
If it wasn't for their station in life neither one could get laid in a whorehouse with a fist full of fifties....

3. It's an un-spoken rule of broadcasting for those with the face for radio |

I think they realize it's part of the game and accept it from one another as an inside joke. It's part of that whole, "say what you want, I'm making lots of money" idea.

6. I don't want this to sound disparaging... |

...but their derogatory comments about others make them feel better about themselves. They also do whatever they have to to keep their ratings up and make money.

7. Because they're obnoxious jerks? |

Sorry, of course they're just plain speakers who aren't afraid to be politically incorrect. Lot's of ugly-looking people out there and conservatives are not afraid to speak the truth.
And Rush Limbaugh is obviously the most handsome man alive, just as he has talent on loan from God and is always right.

who never grew out of it.
Did you ever notice that middle school bully boys are always terrified that somebody will notice their flaws?
I did. I discovered that the best way to make a bully cry was to stand up to him.
I wish the Democrats would figure that one out.

They can't disparage people any other way, so they say "you're ugly"!
Of course, what is laughable, is the determination that neither one must own a mirror themselves. They are delusional about their own looks, apparently. Imus is a shriveled reptile and Limbaugh is an oily, snorting pig.

11. never did Rush and I said FU to Imus 1/15 when he announced |
|
Dick Cheney (who he has always referred to as 'pork chop boy')and Lynne would be on his show (live) the morning of the inauguration.
That was it for his credibility for me. I understand he did have them on and that Cheney let us know Iran is next. Oh yeah, FU Imus! Had entirely toooooo much of your tired, whining drivel, thank you very much.

13. sigh, they're like kiddies in a school playground |

I see exactly the same sort of puerile behaviour in the UK Commons. The world is up shit creek - there are massive issues over energy supplies, global warming and the rest of the demonology. How do our leaders respond?
Rather than a mature debate where we all sit down and actually try to find solutions, politicians spend a large part of their time calling each other names like little children in a school playground. What a complete and utter waste of time and energy, not to mention that it achieves sweet fuck all. How someone's competence is derived from how they dress, or appear, I-do-not-know.
As Dylan wryly observed "All the criminals in their coats and their ties, are free to drink Martinis and watch the sun rise". Get real politicians, I don't give a rat's ass about what someone looks like; I'm more interested in what they are trying to achieve.
I'm off to take another valium now...and cook my haggis for Burns' Night.

It's true though, isn't it?? I was an RN in Miami about 10 yers ago and worked in the Newborn Nursery/Labor and Delivery. We had a bunch of interns doing deliveries then. Sometimes you get babies that are not cute, it's a fact of life, but we had a run of babies delivered that had a PPP on the top of their chart. No one new what it wa until the interns told us PPP is for Piss Poor Protoplasm. I think that's what Rush and Imus have!
