Feinstein: "Dr. Rice went to college at the age of 15"
Ok, we all agree that Rice is smart! But when does resume supersede actions?

6. DiFi said Rice is a "close and personal friend..."
...so abstain, Di, if you can't keep your personal feelings from getting in the way of your judgment.:grr::eyes::grr:

15. I bet she became a "close and personal friend" right about the
time that defense contract was awarded to DiFi's husband's company.

Condi Rice never had a hard time in her life as other blacks did. She came from a middle class black family that moved from Alabama when she was young. I read that her father was not supportive of civil rights demonstrations. There are many, many blacks who have done quite well in this country despite having encountered racial discrimination. Some of them came from extremely poor backgrounds, unlike Rice.

for facts and honesty there.

Well, you can't be a prodigy in everything, I guess.

7. So she should know that History means the past.
Not the future. i.e. 8/6/01 PDB "Bin Laden wants to attack inside the United States"

Ms. Rice, "Oh those documents were historical in nature."

:bounce:

16. It's worse than that. The memo was titled:
"Bin Laden determined to strike in US" How that was ignored, I'll never understand.

:grr:

11. Well, my brother went when he was 18
and he's up for a job at a major Division I university based on his degree and his life experience. That is, the university is taking under consideration how he was able to apply his degree in his professional life and succeed. Something that brainac hasn't been able to do.

Personally, I think someone should brag about their educational accomplishments only if they prove they can apply their education in a productive manner. Condi may have gotten into college early but it doesn't be she knows which way is up.

:silly:

12. Some of the world's smartest people have been big liars.
I guess this is the new qualification for gaining high office in America. Lie and lie repeatedly and that trumps any other qualification of lack thereof.

The MSM will call it partisan politics but one thing is certain, these hearings and floor debate were necessary for some people to be exposed to the lies and atrocities of this administration because the MSM sure wasn't going to get the word out.

14. The brightest people in the world can also be the dumbest.
Rice may have book smarts, but I doubt she could find her way out of a paper bag. Her lust for * supercedes all.

harder on her. Think Ashcroft and the judge.

20. That may explain her apparent lack of common sense and
ability to work with others. High school has an important noncognitive agenda that Condi seems to have missed entirely. She seems to lack the capacity for give and take and learning from peers. She gets her authority from direct protection by a Powerful White Male, and need not listen to experts like Richard Clarke on important details such as -- she's leaving the country unprotected from highly likely terrorist attacks!

After her incompetence leads to predictable tragedy, she faces no accountablility, but is rewarded by her Protector with promotion to an even higher post, where she can do even more damage to her country. She has a doctorate in Incompetence. She reminds me of one of Steve Allen's favorite sayings: "Those who don't know, often don't know they don't know."

24. Well my motto for the Bush leagues-all that vote for them all that
support them in anyway is very simple.

Stupid is as stupid does.

What you actually DO, and achieve, acomplish, is what it's worth.

Condi's brain is worth a lot of dead people, starting with the ones on 9/11. If thems smarts-I say we need something else.
