1. Obviously it's been done in Collieforneea before.
Not sure about Connecticut though.

6. No
the state constitution allows us to recall Governors. Senators, though, are elected under the US constitution, and there's no provision there to recall Senators.

11. Look, I was pissed and it was a stupid post. Give me a fucking break.
Edited on Tue Jan-25-05 06:58 PM by Quixote1818
And like I really expected the recall to go through. Even if it were real it would be largely symbolic. Is that so hard to understand? Lighten up.

18. Feinstein sounded like she was giving an honorary dinner for Rice
Not one word of doubt.

I, too think Rice is an accomplished, intelligent woman with a fascinating story. I also think a black female Sec'y of State would be a wonderful messagenger to send out into the world. Just not this one. She is also an accomplished, intelligent tool.

15. ok, but Diane has done so much for us it gets me mad
to hear people speak poorly of her. She has always been on our side and stood up many times to the gun industry, so she shouldn't be questioned in other matters. Who knows is going on behind the scenes that will help us in the future?

20. "so she shouldn't be questioned in other matters"
Baloney or bologna, your choice.

That is Bush cultist mentality. Democrats reserve the right to question anyone. They may not like the answer, but blind allegiance is folly.

32. Ok, great. Start the recall!
We'll get rid of Gov Davis, and put a repug in his place. Get rid of Senator Finestein, put a repug in her place. Get rid of Senator Boxer, put a repug in her place.

You morons are doing great work for the Dems! Who's paying you? :wtf:

10. I live hear, give a flying fuck of a damn and I want her gone
I :puke: every night that people like her are up there doing those things in my name effectively weakening our voice. I'm sick and tired of DINOs like Feinstein voting for their agenda and Republicans telling us to stop being hypocrites because "we" voted for X, Y, or Z also.

Diane Feinstein does not speak for "WE". Let her take her royal we and mosey on down the road to the party she better represents.

At least that's my brillent suggestion ;)

Feinstein sucks.

23. Lol... Writing her letters is an exercise in futility. She responds though
Edited on Tue Jan-25-05 07:44 PM by Tinoire
with a very polite "kiss my ass" letter.

I've been refusing to vote for her or give her a dime.

Boxer on the other hand... she gets votes and money ;)

Protest would be good because they'd embarrass her but I don't think enough Californians are aware enough of what she's been up to... You know, when life is good and you're not a DU junkie, you just don't know about this things.

What are your ideas? There must be something!

A Vote-Feinstein-Out campaign to inform people?

On edit... But that would be too risky... Ideas?

Atleast the Repub gov. in Conn got brought down.

Now I have Boxer and Feinstein, heaven and hell plus BBV-fueled redistricting coming up.

I accidentally moved to Texas. Who knew?

the last time we had a recall we ended up with Arnie. :puke: I don't want to see something like that happen again. x( Recall Feinstein and end up with some repug and then the Dems lose even more in the Senate by becoming the minority by even more...no thanks.

EDIT: Just saw post above saying Senators can't be recalled, so the whole thing is moot anyway.

We already handed our state to arnold - let's not shoot ourselves again.

I don't get Feinstein on this issue. It pisses me off. But I will not work to unseat a sitting Dem when we have a Governor to defeat in '06.

He is a good environmentalist- be thankful for that, and also for the fact he isnt denouncing the party Zell Miller style.
