MSNBC Poll - Are Dems playing politics w/Rice nomination?
Edited on Tue Jan-25-05 07:10 PM by SmileMaker
As I send this, I listen to the rethug. talk about how Barbara Boxer 'offended' Condi. Oh, poor little Condi. I have a great idea, why don't we send them and all their little followers off to fight in Georgie's war?

Abusing nominees! Mischaracterizes facts! Clearly tied to politics?! Leave it to Inouye to lie when he blames others for lying. Is that a game called politics????

1. Those danged dems
Using the consecration hearings to express serious concerns, that's totally inappropriate!

3. I've given up on these types of polls,
It's like they are guilty until proved innocent.

A good question is something like this.

Is it good for the country if a Senator tells the truth about a nominee?

4. That damned separation of powers thing
They try, but the Republicans just haven't been able to eliminate it completely.

5. Poll currently at 51-49% AGAINST Dems "playing politics"
Which is not that different from the margin by which Kerry won the election. If the freepers are hitting that poll they haven't managed to turn the tide of disgust with Rice and pride in the Senators standing up to speak the truth.

16. It's now 52 percent in favor of the Dems NOT playing politics
with Neo-Con-di's nomination.

Are the neo-cons still spreading the rumor that they don't want Rice for sexist and/or racist reasons?

I'm female - not of a minority in race, however - but I don't want her and it's not because of what's between her legs or the color of her skin. It's because she's an incompetent who couldn't stop lovin' that man of hers long enough to shake him and make him understand the consequences of the Aug. 6, 2001 PDB. Oh - and then there was that mushroom cloud thing, too.

7. Crimeny...this *is* politics.
Republicans have been doing it for years.

What are they supposed to do, just stand idly by and let the opposition do whatever the hell they want? Screw that, I'm sick of it.

8. Dumb MSNBC Question
Hello, when people are IN politics, they are always playing politics. That is why they call them politicians.

When Starbucks pours the hot water through the coffee beans is it "making coffee" ?

Many would say "yes"!

9. All politics are "playing politics."
Let's not kid ourselves, no one's paying attention to this Senate thing except for a few hardcore political junkies. The average Joe and Jane American could care less. Hell, I love politics, but other than reading a couple of threads here this doesn't even interest me.

11. Rice is a politician, appointed by a politician, confirmed by politicans
Methinks politics is going to figure into that equation somewhere.

Either way, motivations are irrelevant if the questions being raised about Condi are legitimate. And they are.

isn't it interesting that a lot of these polls of the MSM end up looking like the ""early" exit poll results?

14. Voted No, no now at 52%
Another ridiculous poll from the media. There has to be some sort of a conspiracy or something about these stupid polls and the sorts of questions they ask. What about a simple question asking: "Do you support Connedthesheeple Rice being the Secretary of State?"
