Question on World Economic Forum Kerry will be at later
I hope his one chance to speak wasn't tonight, btw, before he heads out to Davos.

My question is: if this is a really big Economic Forum, with Presidents and ex-Presidents and all manner of powerful people at it, then why the hell isn't our supposed President also there?

Once again, it's like Kerry is where a President should be, while Bush is holed up in the White House.

1. Davos is
invitation only. Participants are sworn to silence.

3. Oh, I get it!
It's the "theme."

"The theme of this year's meeting is "Taking responsibility for tough choices" That explains why (*) won't be in attendance!

Didn't know * attended to anything?

4. The article implies that they could have been there if they wanted to
but they're too busy with cabinet stuff.

But, yeah, love the irony of the theme.

It would be fun to think JK got an invitation and Bush didn't though, just to picture Kerry outside the White House gate shouting out "I've got something you don't have. And do you know why? Because I'm good enough. I'm smart enough. And, darn it, people like me. Nyah."

2. Exactly! Couldn't agree more!
Just like Kerry visiting Iraq weeks back. It should have been *. And baby brother's overseas visit, again should have been Big Brother.

Every time * heads out it cost taxpayers $$$ to protect him. But we're all so much safer for it. Then again, 5 days "holed-up" with *, well, you think about it. :puke:

6. He's resting up for the Senate retreat.

Needs his energy to get every red body on board for Social Security reform.

Anyone know if fair labor practices in free trade will be on the agenda? It would change the world for the better.

7. What the Sam Hill are you talking about?
If I'm reading you correctly, isn't that just a wee defeatist considering we've been seeing some fight lately?

Kerry is showing no signs of retreat, and he certainly won't be participating in SS reform. Holy Guacamole, where did that come from?

8. The question was:

and I was referring the THE PRESIDENT resting up for the Republican Senate Retreat instead of attending. How did you get Kerry bashing from that when I mentioned 'getting all RED bodies on board...'?

10. You're hardly a spaz,
you're passionate and either I'm unknown to you or you may mistakenly think of me as hostile. Plus, I DO have caffeine in my system! :bounce:
