Post-Iraq "election" predictions thread |
|
What does everyone think will take place after the Iraq elections? All I know is that we stay there indefinitely because I think that's always been the plan but other than that, what else do you think is going to happen and how's the administration going to spin the fact that "freedim and democracy" probably are not going to blossom anytime soon? And where are we going to get the troops for Iran? Draft finally? I mean what's the difference he's not worried about re-election right?

the General Assembly picks the new President in 6 months or a year, things will start to get better and the indiscriminate killing will stop. (Just my prediction for Scotty M's next newsgaggle spew)

2. The draft will put the Iran invasion off for a least 2 years. So there |

has to be another plan under foot.
I think we'll get a new "governmnet", get those oil sales contracts signed, hire "contractors" to protect the oil fields and move the army north to Iran.
Although our armed forces are sitting ducks for Iranian bombs. And since the Iraqis were or are still enemies of Iran, they probably wouldn't be to unhappy to kill as many as possible.
Here's a worse case scenario - Iran nukes Iraq and we nuke Iran. Good by oil for several thousand years. Instant world blackout.
