you could see him kind of lose it when he realized he just insulted an entire demographic - one he needs to push his ridiculous social security reform through.
what an idiot.

Bush sputters it out while Ken is trying to ask his follow-up questions. There were a few noticeable moans from the audience.

basically implying that * had "gone down in flames" on a tax reform issue. and * jumped in and said I don't think you call a billion dollar tax cut flames. Then said you aren't a senior citizen, but you are acting like one, you know faulty memory... then he caught himself and went to the next question. it was pathetic.

I'd like to get Robert Byrd to comment on this.
I recall someone, maybe Bush himself, dissing Byrd for his age during the Iraq debate...

I can't wait for The Daily Show tonight. Jon S. is going to have a field day with this.

Sometimes I think I get to the point where I can't take it any more! How can you be so evil and vile. How can you say one thing and in your heart be plotting and scheming to bring down all the great programs this country was built on. The Chimperor in Chief is out of control.

Edited on Wed Jan-26-05 11:03 AM by LizW
He said it was a president "freelancing" (code for talking out of his ass, I think). He said Bush's communications team was rolling their eyes when Bush said that.
Oh, I forgot -- Moran also called Bush the "Cheerleader in Chief"!
LOL!

there's a point (shortly after) where he appears to forget what he was saying and for about 15 seconds either says nothing or stutters and stammers!
