Will Dean steal Candidates thunder? |
|
I like Dean. I'm pushing for him to be DNC chair but I wonder if the headlines won't go to Dean rather than the Candidate for Pres.
What do you think?

3. Dean has proven himself to be a very loyal democrat to a very disloyal |
|
party.
I doubt if he would allow that to happen.

I think you're right. He's rally a stand-up person (I think). But he OBVIOUSLY doesn't control the media - otherwise the screech wouldn't have been made an issue.

6. No, if he isn't a candidate the media will still focus on actual candidate |
|
so I'm not afraid that the candidates for president in '08 will be ignored. The media loves the horse race, so they will focus on it.

8. Excuse me, but what 'thunder' has a dem candidate had |
|
of late to 'steal'?
I'm serious.
The only time they started doing anything other than whimpering was when Dean thundered that the Chimp had no clothes...that the world was NOT safer after Saddam was caught, etc etc etc After looking around shocked for a while, a few began to get the message....we need a leader to stand up to republicans.
I'd much rather see Dean run for president, but it does not appear to be in the cards.

The Dem candidates that Dean would naturally overshadow would be the Bush-lite Dems, who are mealy mouthed around Repukes anyway. Of course these same mealy mouth Dems, like Lieberman, strongly condemn Democrats for standing up for Democratic principles. If these are the best the Dems can do for candidates, then we have a long way to go with our reforms.

10. If Hillary or Kerry is the "best" we can do for candidates... |
|
...then I certainly hope so.
