Bill Richardson for President Internet domains being registered
Edited on Wed Jan-26-05 12:39 PM by Freddie Stubbs
Web Sites Have Bill on the Run

By Michael Coleman
Journal Washington Bureau

WASHINGTON— Gov. Bill Richardson hasn't announced plans to run for president in 2008, but at least two people have bought Internet domain names that would fit the bill.

At least eight different Richardson-related Web site domain names, including "billrichardsonforpresident.com" and "billrichardson08.com," have been registered with Network Solutions, a Virginia-based company that sells the names.

At least seven of the domains were registered by Miguel Lausell, a business partner of Joe Velasquez, who was a paid consultant on Richardson's 2000 gubernatorial campaign.

Richardson's deputy chief-of-staff, Billy Sparks, said Tuesday that the governor had nothing to do with the domain name registrations.

1. Ugh, Richardson is a DINO
with an ego as big as the whole western US. He's bad news. He's a DLC insider and a Blue Dog who acts more Repuglican than they do.

Please! Warn everybody you know about that man! He's BAD NEWS.

5. If the author had bothered to check, most (name)08.com sites...
have already been taken, mostly by companies hoping to sell them back to candidates or their supporters. Not sure why this qualifies as a story.

8. I tried to register clark08.com etc...
but they were already taken by squatters. A progressive group from California registered wesclark08.com, but that isn't really news.

The only thing I see from this story is that squatters didn't think it a worthy investment to claim the sites to try to sell later. Kinda like alfranken08.com would be a waste of time and money, too.

10. Give it up
How stupid do they thinl we are? "Richardson's deputy chief-of-staff, Billy Sparks, said Tuesday that the governor had nothing to do with the domain name registrations." Give it up.
And I'll bet he is turning the NGA into his cheerleading squad. Anyone pay enough attention to what they are doing now that he is head?

11. Richardson would have done better...
than any of the other candidates in this past election.

He would definately get the Hispanic vote, something that needs to be done considering that the party is just letting alot of us just go on over to the Republican party because they ignore our issues.

12. since he won't defend the right for his own state to vote, I have
no confidence in him doing anything that might risk his 'viability', the wanker.
