We enjoy democracy. The muslim countries have lived under their ways from the beginning of their history. My thought is--why do we think they should have democracy just because we have it? We decided our way of government, so should they not do the same? I hope all this will not leave a question in our own way of governing ourselves.

2. Such an important question that you pose...
So simple and so basic to what we say that we believe, but not how we behave at all! Our philosophy seem to really be that...all the world will become like us, believe what we believe and WILL accept and believe as we do....or....we will invade your country and kill your leaders and your people until u realize that you are now "free" to believe as we dictate to you.

3. "We enjoy Democracy"? Well, I used to enjoy it..
When we had one. That's what's so ironic about America spreading Democracy to other countries. We're not one to talk, thanks entirely to BushCo.

4. The US has invaded 30+ countries since WWII to bring democracy.
None have it today. Iraq will be added to that list. This bringing democracy crap is the only "excuse" they could come up with that isn't ripped apart by the Democrats. After all how can you be against democracy. But we are not in Iraq for democracy. We are there for oil.

On the other side of the coin, a lot of the countries in the Middle East are a mess because for a century the US and British have messed in the local politics and put our "buddies" in leadership positions to do our bidding. We are responsible for some of the worst dictatorships in the world.
