Why did we pick an opponent of choice for minority leader? |
|
Are we trying to lose the women's vote?

2. Hey, maybe next we'll appoint someone who want to revoke the 19th. |
|
After Reid, that's the next step.

And Reid, though he looks like a wimp, seems to have some fight in him.
But I wonder, when we put some "Pro-Life" politician in a party leadership position, we are conceding ground to the Republicans. Lets say a resolution/law/amendment gets on the floor of the Senate, something unequivocally stating life begins at conception. We should have a good debate over this, and the media is going to turn to the party leaders first. And how exactly would some one who does supposedly believe life begins at conception argue our side? How hard would he work at rallying the party votes against it? And if he does, he looks like a lying hypocrite towing the party line and sacrificing his personal beliefs.
I'm no longer angry at Reid or Roemer for that matter, but I don't think they should be in leadership positions.

4. Why didn't we invite David Dukes to lead the party. |

He and Reid could have a good ole time.

I can't wait until Hillary whens in '08. I hope a lot of right wingers leave the country when that happens.

He was elected by Deomcratic Senators. If you would like to pick the next leader, get elected to the Senate.

11. Get elected as a Senator |
|
The job of the Senate Democratic Leader is to work for the Democratic Senators, not the general public.

Reid, unlike his predecessor, is actually putting up a partisan fight instead of twiddling his thumbs.

Has he not named his first born after Bush yet?

15. I don't think real Democrats want him. |
|
The Republicans want him as minority leader and they have managed to convince the gullible within the party that they could do better by acting as Republicans. So Reid is the concession to the Republicans.
