Great Spongebob/Gay cartoon - what a natural issue for cartoonists! |
|
I found this at today's issue of the AllHatNoCattle.net site: For those wanting some more laughs about this subject--and some encouraging news that SOME religious leaders do get the joke -- don't miss this thread: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x3008938"The United Church of Christ welcomes SpongeBob"

But my grandchildren love him..they are 8 and 11...all their favorite quotes are from the show...and they are all good ones..really good! When they use them, it always cracks me up..so i have felt this was probably a really good show, but now...i know it is...hahahaha!!

2. Yeah, Spongebob is definitely in a very funny alternate reality. |
|
I was introduced to him and his world by my brother-in-law, who was introduced by my niece and nephew, ages 4 and 6. We watched it together during a recent family visit and I found it extremely funny. The movie was a bit of a letdown, though. Don't judge Spongebob by that. (On the other hand, the Incredibles movie is great and should not be missed IMO.)
The writer was apparently a marine biologist, and the story of how Spongebob was "born" is a tale in itself. If I had a link handy, I'd give it to you.
