I received John Kerry's e-mail
regarding the "Kids Come First" bill that he is proposing. Is this the same one that I signed earlier right after the election? I don't want to make the mistake of signing twice.

1. the first one was in a form of a petition I believe--he wanted to know if
he had support this his proposal.
This is the actual bill he proposes nad wants your Senators support.

I do believe they are different.

2. If you don't know, sign it again
They will determine if your name is on there more than once.
It does not hurt the cause.

4. Urge Your Senators to Co-Sponsor the Kids Come First Act
John Kerry’s new Kids Come First Act (S.114) deserves our support. We have created an action alert on Congress.org to make it easy for everyone to send a letter to their Senators urging them to Co-Sponsor the Kids Come First Act in the Senate.

5. as long as this isnt data mining for my email
Id be happy to sign it. I dont care who sponsors it.

But I hope I dont get any "give Kerry money" solicitations because his website gave my email address to him.

His abysmal campaign style was am embarassment. He wont get a dime from me.

6. I ignore "gimme money" emails regardless, 'cause I ain't got none
But it sounds like he just he's after a magic number of signers, and he hadn't gotten them yet. I think this is the same petition from before (I agree that the program can probably filter you out if you sign twice by mistake though.)

So if there is anyone who hasn't signed it yet here, I hope they will consider it. Think of his Condi vote, and give him some petition love.

7. No email mining
The link I posted is to the LightUpTheDarkness Blog where we have an action alert to sedn letters to your local Senators asking them to support JK's bill.

This is in addition to JK's petition, it's something LightUptheDarkness is doing independently.

9. I signed, but still--
John, go BIG, dammit! Why not ask for UNIVERSAL health care? Kids are more harmed by lack of their parents' access to health care than by their own--kids are statistically a pretty healthy demographic. There is a reason why the flight attendants always tell you to put on your own oxygen mask first before you do your kids'. Settle for kids only if you must, but why not start out strong?
