We voted these men and women into office, we pinned our hopes upon |
|
them. We have every vote given right to be upset with their actions when they, time and again, vote against our beliefs and values. I will not "choose my battles" for I have yet to see us choose one battle yet. I will not sit down. I will not shut up. I will not "wait and see". I've done all of that this past year. I am through. I am angry. I am loud. And I will get louder until Congress starts representing the half of us Americans who have lost our voice. Now, excuse me while I go vomit.
Thanks, Laura

for right or wrong, better or worse, good or bad, the vast majority of Americans, even Democrats, do not oppose Condoleezza Rice's confirmation as SoS.
It would've been futile, and seen as somewhat crazy, to filibuster it. She was going to get the job no matter what, and perhaps some number of Democrats felt it was better for the country for her NOT to take office crippled by an ugly, unwinnable fight.

these idiots in charge in both parties responsible. Man I feel much better posting this thread. No more wussy back downs for me. No more standing on freezing cold porches stumping for a candidate I didn't, don't and never will believe in. I'm fighting for what's right. Condi Rice is not right...never will be.
And, FWIW, this is in direct response to those here who think "We the People" and Democratic voters should somehow be "okay" with our party turning its back on us yet again.

9. I voted them in and... |
|
...I'll vote them right out, but in between that time they are going to hear from me, whether it's good or bad.
I've picked my battles and it's ALL of them.
Cheers, Kim

13. It's just plain infuriating and I keep thinking am I brilliant, or nuts? |
|
I sat through the whole Monicagate *thing* and listened to the whole "Clinton lied" crap ad nauseum...
Yeah, he did lie and I would have liked to have clubbed the SOB over the head (for giving them fodder if nothing else)
And now THIS--
I wasn't provost (or whatever) of Stanford and I certainly haven't dealt with foreign governments, but it was quite obvious to me that the whole yellow cake nuke claims were obvious bullshit based on forgeries even before we invaded Iraq.
So WTF was Rice's excuse? I guess she didn't read about Powell saying he "wasn't saying this bullshit" in front of the UN the night before he presented all the fake evidence.
What freaking planet are these people on?
They'll vote to confirm her because this big fat liar in office, is entitled to a big fat liar, that will cover his ass and parrot his beliefs?
I don't think so.
These stupid Reps (CIVIL SERVANTS ON OUR DIME) are supposed to represent the people who elected them not the big fat liar in office and I am pissed.
