If Kerry gets the nomination, I would strongly suggest in the debates |
|
That Kerry makes a point about Bush's AWOL record with the Air National Guard and point out his own record as a Vietnam War veteran and war hero. I am sure that Kerry would be able to belittle Bush. He just has to take off the gloves.
The same could be said about Wesley Clark and his military record. Use it to their adavantage.

I feel reasonably sure that Clark will bring it up. I have less faith that Kerry would, but I'll urge him to do it if he's the nominee.

4. Just a thought, I suspect Kerry will be more timid and conciliatory. |
|
If he loses he'll still have to work as a Senator and be all congressional and fraternal. Like he was during the IWR vote and the Patriot Act vote.
If Clark loses, so what? He doesn't have to strike deals with them as a Senator.
Again, just speculating.

8. Actually Clark is most likely to be timid and conciliatory |
|
since he'll want to go back to lobbying.
Just observing.

Only Kerry and Clark would be perceived as having the moral authority to make such a criticism. If Dean tried to, they would bring up the whole draft thing. Edwards could try, but Team Bush could just say "well, at least he wore the uniform!" Lieberman is too nice to go down that route. Kerry will quickly have to shed an image he has as a patrician, Massachusetts liberal. He will have to instead be the rich kid who volunteered for combat service in Vietnam.

7. Not in the debates, in ads. |
|
I think Teresa has said she is not using the Heinz money for ads unless the other side launches attack ads first. What is the chance of that happening? :eyes:
