Anybody notice Imus this AM? |
|
I was flipping through the channels and happened to hit MSRNC...they were showing live pics of Condi at the State Department and ....I know this is right because I called my wife in to verify it....while Imus was showing that picture, they were playing the Stones Brown Sugar as the bumper/background music.
I was floored........
Repub values at work......it was the most demeaning thing they could have done....
Anybody else notice this?????

In my letter I pointed out that Bush would never need a "monica" to visit him because guys like you are getting on your knees for him every morning.

5. worse -- imus is a racist |
|
this has been brought up too a bunch of times before. it doesn't surprise me.
unlike liberals, republicans actually see and take note of the color of condi's skin. we don't give one damn about it. and they have the nerve to call us racist -- do they even know what the term actually refers to?
by bringing the color of condi's/gonzalez's skin into the argument, the republicans have amazingly indicted themselves as the racists. it's all too hilarious.

How can they be so stoopid? When you start your morning with a downer like Imus, what do you expect?

I actually worked for John Kerry for a year, and I know that the Senator enjoyed a very good relationship with Imus.
Imus often commented he was voting for Senator Kerry and we looked at the show as an ally and not a negative force.
This is the reason I don't post often on here. You give a contrary response and suddenly I'm a Republican.

17. In the run up to Nov 2nd Imus said many times |
|
that Kerry was "his guy". But, to be honest, his comments were not very supportive of him. While his relationship may be genuinely friendly, his actual words regarding Kerry's campaign were highly critical IMO. It made one wonder why he said Kerry was "his man" with the only logical explanation being ABB.

22. SPDBoston, I didn't mean to offend. It's just that Imus is a joke |
|
He blows with the wind. Even though he spoke up for Kerry, in the very next breath he would disparage him. It's all about good cop and bad cop with those guys on his show. Someone had to be for Kerry and he must have drawn the short straw. But the wishy washyness of his support and the demeaning things he did spout off about John and Theresa were damaging. He's a registered Repuk as well (he admitted it about 1,000 times during the campaign).
Don't stop posting, though. Sorry...

27. With Friends Like IMUS, Who needs enemies? |
|
Maybe there is some truth to the fact that Kerry was out of touch with his campaign efforts if he thought Imus was on his side. Sure, Imus may have publicly stated he was for Kerry, but did any Kerry people ever watch or listen to his show? I personally witnessed, on several occasions, where Imus and his posse tore into the Democrats and Kerry on a host of bogus issues like Drift Boat Liars or they spoke of how Bush was a good, strong, consistent leader. Imus, like almost all the current right wing controlled media outlets, says one thing and does something quite different. Call it the Shrub Doctrine. Say absolutely anything and then behave as though it was never said.
I worked for Kerry in Ohio and I am shocked to hear that he might have thought the Imus show was playing the election square. They weren't. Bo "Donut" Dietl and the other members of the Imus chorus could not go 10 seconds without savaging Kerry on whatever the daily Rove talking point was for that day.

If you think he was an ally of yours. He'd say he was voting for Kerry - then spend 3 hours ridiculing him. He is GOP all the way. Listen to him sometime.

I'm not commenting on political affiliation.
I commented on why is it ok for some to call Rice "brown sugar" and it's not ok for some.
Your'e the one who zeroed in on political affiliation.

I'm amazed to hear the RW talking points that the Dems are going against Condi and Gonzoles because of their race. What a joke. They just flat out lie with no shame. Nothing new here.

nasty minded sidekicks, watch the show. A show that is allowed to air more filth then a person could imagine getting by the moralists - Pat Robertson, Jerry, and Bob B - they are all slipping in their tirades of immorality...but I guess as long as they bash Dems, homosexuals, women, foreigners...everything is just fine. Morals minus 3 million. Does anyone know if Michael Powell was ever a guest?

14. Several years ago he was forced to admit on "60 Minutes" |
|
that he hired a producer specifically to do "nigger jokes." In the ensuing years, his show his repeatedly turned to racist humor, particularly as regards the sexuality of blacks.
Every time I hear of a so-called Democrat racing to be on the crusty cracker's show I want to vomit.
