Who voted "Nay" for Rice's nomination as Secy of State |
|
Here are the "Nay" votes from yesterday's Senate vote on confirming the nomination of Condi Rice to be Bush's Secy of State:
Akaka (D-HI) Bayh (D-IN Boxer (D-CA Byrd (D-WV), Dayton (D-MN), Durbin (D-IL), Harkin (D-IA), Jeffords (I-VT), Kennedy (D-MA), Kerry (D-MA), Lautenberg (D-NJ), Levin (D-MI), Reed (D-RI),
As usual, the Repubs stuck together and voted, without exception, in favor of the nomination (2 did not vote at all - could be they weren't there). If only the Dems would stick together like that.
If a Dem. Senator's name is not listed above, he voted "Yea." This includes the new rising star, Barak Obama.
