Is Jim Rome One Of Us?
Edited on Thu Jan-27-05 11:59 AM by DemocratSinceBirth
I heard him on his show a couple of years ago and he was ripping on Limbaugh and said he'd like to debate him....

I'm not a clone or a dittohead but if you put a gun to my head I would choose the former....

1. Rome is repetitious and obnoxious...

But he is a blue-state guy...I've heard him say so on more than one occasion. A surprising number of these sports talk show guys are on our side...Tony Kornheiser, Andy Pollin to name a couple others

3. Sports Guys are all Team Players
They know about sharing the load with teammates and the importance of good executive management (read "government").

The "individualists" are more likely to be social Darwinists, even if the concept is silly in team sports.

4. Rome quit Fox
and I'm guessing it wasn't just for the reasons he mentioned.

If you listen between the lines, I think you'll see that Rome is pretty much a Blue state guy....

5. Jim Rome is for Jim Rome.
Edited on Thu Jan-27-05 12:34 PM by Botany
His values are based on what it means to his bank account. I remember
hearing him rip "The Dixie Chicks," for speaking their minds or joining
in the anti French wave even though the 2nd largest force in Afghanistan helping
us was French. The man built a career after getting an NFL player to hit him
on camera after ?ing his manhood.

He has encouraged his callers to join in on the anti France & anti Dixie Chick talk,
again Jim Rome is a phony who is all about himself.
