Big Suprise: Freepers say Warren Buffett is wrong about falling Dollar
When I did a Google search for "Warren Buffett" comments today at Google, I got a few links to "freerepublic", so I said, O.K., let's see what the Pod People are saying about quickly appoching "Economic Armageddon," as some one at Morgan-Stanley recently called it.

As expected, they are in full denial mode. :evilgrin:Good for a laugh, for all who want it at:

I almost feel sorry for them, they won't know what hit'em when the * party suddenly ends. I just hope they don't have as many guns as they claim to have. :scared:

3. Some of them admitted Buffett knows what he's talking about
That wasn't actually that bad of a response given some of the other garbage of FR.

Where they went astray is in saying Buffet was wrong about predicting bad economic times 3 or 4 years ago. At the time Buffet thought that, he didn't know Greenspan would save Bush's butt by flooding the country with cheap money. He also didn't know that Bush would be able to get those stupid tax cuts that provided a huge stimulus to the economy (but created our current huge national debt).

8. Those tax cuts did not stimulate the economy one whit
The only thing they stimulated was the stock market. That's why we had a jobloss recovery that wasn't a recovery at all.

senior financial and economic adviser when he was running for governor? What did they have to say about Warren back then?

22. Der Ahnold's put Warren away after Buffett let it be known that corps
aren't paying their fair share of taxes, especially the globalizing corporations (see "Warren Buffett Urges Higher Corporate Taxes "
http://www.commondreams.org/headlines04/0306-01.htm )

Also, it is common knowledge here in CA that Prop 13 gives a tax break to corporations on property taxes that is made up for by the general public. Corps hardly ever sell their property whereas the general public tends to sell every 7 years on average. Buffett wanted some reforms on Prop 13 or at least a discussion of it but was quickly silenced.

Ahnolds is a globalization supporter so he wishes to give more tax breaks to those shipping jobs overseas. Nothing personal, just that he's a wolf in sheep's clothing...the environmental/abortion 'moderation' is just there to sucker us all in. His meeting with KennyBoy Lay should have indicated who's side he's on before the recall even took place !

16. One of the freepers said
that Bush is a genious, and that "they never expected him to tell the truth".

Does this mean there are people on the freeper board who actually know that Bush lies?
