Volunteer opportunities in DC?

I'm a firm lawyer and recently moved to Washington, DC (yeah, I know, bad timing). I consider myself a relatively smart guy with a decent background in domestic policy stuff, and am looking to get involved in liberal policy or political volunteer work around here. Because of my long work hours, I can't commit to anything huge, however, nor can I do any paid work.

Any ideas?
