Any reaction in mainstream media to Bush's 'urge' comment?
Edited on Fri Jan-28-05 12:58 AM by Hissyspit
The President, from the luxury of the White House and with the safety of a Secret Service guard, urged average citizens of another country to go down to their local school with a great possiblity of having their brain ripped out by a chunk of fender from a car bomb, thus leaving their children orphaned.

Has there been much response to this comment in MSM, from politicians, pundits? I haven't seen any.

Bush urges Iraqis to ‘defy these terrorists’
He says Sunday election will be ‘grand moment in Iraqi history’
NBC, MSNBC and news services
Updated: 5:48 p.m. ET Jan. 26, 2005
WASHINGTON - Calling this weekend’s national election in Iraq “a grand moment" in Iraqi history, President Bush urged the populace Wednesday to “defy these terrorists” waging an unrelenting campaign of violence by casting their ballots.
Despite the continuing violence, Bush predicted that millions of Iraqis would “show bravery” by voting in Sunday’s election, but he conceded that some voters would be intimidated by insurgents’ threats to target voters and polling stations.
“We anticipate a lot of Iraqis will vote,” Bush said. “… I urge people to vote. I urge people to defy these terrorists.”

2. Don't Forget

Since 9/11, ShrubCo. Enterprises has told Americans that terrorists disguised as nuns, pregnant ladies, janitors, pizza delivery folk and UPS men might come after them using teddy bears, hot air balloons, crop dusting airplanes, shoes, crucifixes, fuel tankers, tweezers, nail clippers, and spam luncheon meat. They have also been led to believe that these people are going to strike them dead in Podunkville, Indiana unless they are extremely alert. The funny part is that ShrubCo. follows these type of comments by exhortations to take the "fam to Didney World"!
