U.S. military that are not being included in casualty figures and that these soldiers are being promised citizenship in return for their service? I remember hearing about this at some point.
I keep hearing about how the figures for deaths and wounded are not even close to what is being reported and have been trying to figure out how we can get more realistic numbers. I think I saw that the VA had received more than 26,000 requests for disability of some sort for soldiers fighting in Iraq?

2. There are non-citizens in the military |
|
I served with several. They are not 'promised' citizenship for serving, but they are on a fast track for citizenship if they choose to pursue it. They must become citizens within 9 years (IIRC) of first enlisting, after that they must get out if they aren't a citizen.
I haven't heard anything about non-citizens being kept off official casualty figures.
