1. why do you have it so black and white?
There are some good things, many bad things. It is not fully either good or bad.

4. I'm just trying to engage opinions on it.
I'm trying to find out if it's something we as a party should be fighting against or fighting to reform. I'm sorry I can't be less vague on that - it's for a more personal matter.

10. Exactly
I agree with LisaM. It's far from either/or. All situations are different. That question is a bit consertive.

7. exactly
1. I believe something should be done to help welfare recipients find work.

2. As it was portrayed in Moore's movie, the way it is done now presents other problems that may be a bigger drain than welfare itself.

8. Job Shortage stat: 14 million
www.bls.gov/jlt

only 3 million openings for 17 million jobless and discouraged.

no way welfare folks can all get a job.

14 million cannot get any job, even if everyone in america had a PhD. Not enough jobs exist. bls site proves it with official stat.

and, only so many grasscutters needed.. and they are now all filled, so new cutters just taking yards away from someone now doing it.

welfare to work is a trick. BLS site proves it.

11. You need an "other" slot
as possible with adequately funded training, transportation, quality childcare, medical benefits, assessment of work ability, etc. I vote yes.

as implemented, I vote a resounding NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
