How can the American Press cover the Iraqi elections from green zone?

I just switched through briefly (first time in a looooong time) CNN, MSNBC, et al and saw nothing more than studio talking head pablum re: the Iraq elections. How can these guys cover it if they are too frightened to leave the Green Zone?

Bush and Co seem to like things that way. It does work for the people who vote for him. Bush speaks and they all believe.
