Wish in one hand and......
crap in the other and see which gets full first....to borrow an old phrase from James Carville.

We all wish for the people of Iraq to be able to live in peace and to have democracy if they wish. We all wish that the election was an indicator of a peaceful future. We all wish that America could withdraw our troops tomorrow. We wish that no one else would die in that place.

However, wishing does not bring reality. The reality is that Bush made that country unstable with his preemptive invasion of it. The most likely scenario is a civil war between the hundreds of factions that voted in yesterday's election. They did not vote for George Bush or democracy or any one thing. They voted for change. Change is going to be painful. The election has changed very little if anything at all.
