4. Isn't it time we ran full page ads exposing these people?
Put their pictures on full page ads and expose their lying to the public!

5. Bah...
If CNN is corporatist, they certainly buck the party line, what with sending Lou Dobbs out to attack outsourcing every night. And of course, Fox isn't fascist.

I don't really follow the rest of them, since I generally don't bother with non-football TV.

8. Indeed, quite well...
Fascism is a system of government that centers on a Great Man leader and a sense of hypernationalism. Using a ridiculously, meaninglessly loose interpretation of the coverage on Fox might be considered fascist (except that Bush isn't given the reverence of a Great Man)...

-EXCEPT-

Fascism also requires two more things: A strong desire to end democracy and impose a dictatorship of the Great Man, and a willingness to move outside the rule of law if neccessary to impose the will of the Great Man. None of these things are present in Fox News' covereage. Fox News doesn't say "Let's end democracy!" They say "Let's elect Republicans!", and I have yet to hear them advocate ending the rule of law (although they'll sometimes argue international law, but international 'law' is really just international convention, and so doesn't count), nor do I think they are likely to.

9. They say "Let's elect Republicans!",
Edited on Mon Jan-31-05 08:59 PM by Cell Whitman
that's pretty damb fascist if you know what today's republican stands for...as for the rule of law...they don't. They promote the idea that any judge who disagrees with them is an "activist" and therefore their opinions count only till they can be removed the fascist cult clan.

Hey, have you had a chance to see OUTFOXED? You can watch it for free here - just scroll down and look on the LEFT for the truth about Fox.

What do you think this is, if not covering up for the lies of the THE GREAT MAN?

10. Fascism = corporatism. Republicans are pro-corporatism and antiworker.
Edited on Mon Jan-31-05 09:48 PM by blm
Today's Republicans are fascists. "Let's elect fascists."

btw...did FOX ever mention that the "Great Man" refused to read the Hart-Rudman Report on Global Terror that was handed to him on Jan.30, 2001?

12. And that is why you fail...
I think you're being overdramatic. Either that, or you have no understanding of what fascism is. The Republicans aren't fascists, they're Market Liberals and Social Conservatives. Mussolini was a fascist. The old Japanese government was fascist. 'Joltin' Joe' Stalin was a fascist during the Great Patriotic War. Republicans aren't.

Besides, fascism and corporatism are two different things. Also, I don't think they are anti-worker per se, since a lot of what they try to do is 'trickle-down' economics. Instead of trying to aid the workers directly as Democrats do, they attempt to improve the overall economy, creating more jobs.

Nothing is accomplished by bumper-sticker slogans.

13. LOLOL...Entire GOP campaign is run with bumpersticker slogans.
Anyone who seriously believes that Republicans just want to "improve the overall economy" has drunk way too much kool-aid.

The Republicans are destroying the middle-class that Clinton's economy helped FORTIFY. Republicans are growing the SERVICE INDUSTRIES, and truly turning it into a haves v have-nots economy.

In Clinton's economy ALL incomes rose. In Bush's economy only the wealthiest incomes grew while the middle-class is receding into the working poor.

Why do you think high-end stores had great Christmas seasons while stores servicing the working class had very poor retail sales?
