Cant get excited about Kerry! |
|
Seeing Kerry suddenly rocket to the top made me look closer at him. I like him I think he is sharp but I can't put my finger on it. He doesn’t inspire me to want to go out and get behind him 110%. Clark and Dean are like superstars and they have something about them that just gets my blood excited and makes me want to go out and work hours to see them win and take on Bush but Kerry leaves me thinking it's the same old thing. Anyone feel the same way?

Just be for the war, against the war, for the war, against the war, didn't think Bush would go to war, was fooled into voting for war, voting for war was right for america.
Don't think. Don't listen. Just have blind faith that he will make up his mind and say the right thing at the right time. Its not important. It's only life and death.
Go with the flow. He has a deep voice and wouldn't be caught dead yelling in a falsetto voice before the cameras and being excoriated by the RW junta's media.
He'll be great. Really. Trust me. Kerry trusted Bush, right? Why can't we trust Kerry?

15. Kerry is very trustworthy. |
|
Keep looking at him you will see that. It is very easy to make judgments about a person when you don't take time to really see what that person is about. I have voted for Kerry he is my senator and I respect and admire him more than any other candidate. I hope you will read what he says and not pay attention to what the press wants to tell you. You know what they are.

19. Kerry Voted for the War |
|
Hundreds of thousands of us were out in the streets in bitter cold weather protesting the invasion of Iraq. Kerry voted for the war, leaving us guessing whether he ever picks up a newspaper. Kerry does not strike me as trustworthy at all. I'll never vote for him.

2. He's too careful, He's not a risk taker |

I want someone bold, not mild. Someone with attitude, not platitudes. Someone willing to put people in their place, not put them to sleep.

I wish I could support Kerry, but the actions arent there, no matter how much you all try to promote him.

|
He takes far too many risks. Not a cautious bone in his body.

Can't get excited. If Kerry ends up the nominee I will probably work up some excitement, but I don't expect it to come naturally. Nice guy, generally acceptable overall, but screams 'insider'. More exciting than Lieberman though.

7. Not a Kerry supporter... |
|
and I agree that he may lack the charisma that a Clark or a Dean may have, but thats part of the problem imo. I think we look a little too much at how a man looks or speaks, and forget about his stance on issues that matter to us. If Kerry wins the Democratic nomination, you can bet that I'll be busting my butt to get him elected, as should all other Dems. The samr foes for any other Dem who may get the nomination. The ultimate goal is to remove the squatter from the white house, no matter who the nominee is.

8. I feel the same way - I like him well enough and if he is the candidate - |
|
I will vote for him, however, he does nothing for me. Does not inspire me to go out and work like hell for him. As another poster on this board remarked: "He sucks the charisma right out of the room." In concur.

17. People who have been in the same room and heard Kerry speak... |
|
describe him as very charismatic. They have come away very impressed with his demeanor and intellect. He can be a very compelling speaker.
John Kerry threw down the gauntlet the other night in Iowa to the special interests who rule the Bush Whitehouse.
"We're coming. You're going. Don't let the door hit you on the way out." - John Kerry
Don't know about you, but this parting shot at the end of his speech inspired the hell out of me.

he does not inspire me with a Rah Rah rhetoric but his record of service makes me feel fairly comfortable with him. I have my disagreements but he has a long history as a good representative. I figure that this does not have to be like a football game.

12. The guy who exposed more govt. corruption than any other lawmaker |
|
in modern history in his investigations of BCCI, IranContra and CIA drugrunning, and you can't find anything to linspirational in that?
The first Senator to craft a gay-friendly bill in 1985? The guy who advocated for gays to serve openly in the military? The guy who worked on the Kyoto Protocol for 10 years?
Suit yourself. Don't mind me if I find that very odd for a progressive Democrat.

14. That's reassuring, but... |
|
What did he do about BCCI? or CIA drugrunning?
Sorry, I'm voting for him if he's the nominee, no doubt, but I'm no more enthusiastic about supporting him than any other candidate (besides the Kooch, of course :) ).
