Poll: Vermonters say no to Dean for president
Only 32 Percent In Home State Say They'll Vote For Dean

In a NewsChannel 5-Burlington Free Press poll, Vermonters said they would not vote for Dean for president in 2004.

Fifty-six percent of respondents said no. Only 32 percent said yes.

"He has to hope this is a one-day story and that it appears and disappears and has no impact on his candidacy. He'll be asked about this at every single press conference," said Garrison Nelson, of the University of Vermont.

This surprised me, I would expect a different result from a home state poll for Gov. Dean.
