2. I get it. It is a news letter. 4 pages. Mostly has one big issue and |
|
some smaller topics of discussion. It is always interesting and Hightower is very insightful.

5. I guess just the organization of the lay out |
|
and I thought it would be more "hard core" biased!!!
I love calvin Trillon and some of the other things but it just wasn't what I expected.

10. I love Z magazine and am thinking about getting a new one: |
|
The Progressive Populist. I read my sample one from the mail and I like it a lot. Howard Zinn is in Z mag a lot. I get bored with the Nation also.

Recently he has lot's of graphs & charts, but the info is helpful. However, I do like the issues that are mostly text better. I always get something useful from it, though.
Like over a year or so ago he compared Sam's Club with Costco & based on that a friend of mine cancelled her Sam's membership & went with Costco instead.
I don't recall what I paid, but $10 for a year is a good deal.

8. Yes I get it and I read it instantly. The side columns are the same that |
|
appear in the "Progressive Populist" newspaper, so those are a repeat. But the main articles are ones that don't seem to appear anywhere else. If for no other reason, I suggest to people to subscribe to the Hightower Lowdown as a way of supporting Jim Hightower because I think he is one of the best 'colyumnists' that the progressives have. He has a way of expressing the things he is talking about that is both entertaining, maddening and inspiring.

If you're looking for progressive populism, it's great. If you ever have a chance to see Jim live, go! I went to one of his appearances and was not disappointed!
