'Insane' scream a bit of fun: Dean
From an Australian site, a little international perspective (though most of it comes from elsewhere.)

http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5744,8457492%255E2703,00.html

"British newspaper The Times said it sounded like "a child imitating a Tyrannosaurus Rex"."

<snip>

"Asked to explain by one TV interviewer, the former Vermont governor replied: "Well, you've got to have a little fun in this business."

1. I thought it was funny
But at the same time, what would we all have said had George Bush ended the SOTU with a similar scream?

7. Yeah, but his scream would have been more like, "YEE-HAW"
Gotta get the Texas twang in there, ya know?

Hehe.

2. from NYTimes article today
Dan Goldberg, a marketing executive with a film distribution company in New York, said he had been planning to volunteer for Dr. Dean in New Hampshire. After watching the speech, Mr. Goldberg said, he changed his mind.

"Any chances I would vote for Dean were completely erased by that speech last night — scary," he said. "I thought mirrors in my apartment would shatter."

4. Geez, how loud does Mr. Goldberg play his tv set?
I guess some people scare pretty easily. I found the SOTU a lot scarier than the war-whoop.

5. I missed the speech
I missed his speech, but it's good that a politician acts like himself rather than a robot catering to the simple minded. Accept him or dislike him, but honesty is hard to find these days. I would rather know their real personalities, some shine right through.

6. Yikes
That is not a very nice article. I'm not familiar with that newspaper but based on this article, it doesn't sound like it is a particularly left-leaning publication.
