1. Uh, how about,
Suck it up and take it like a man?
Or, just switch to a more viable candidate. That would work too.

2. Don't Look Now, But...
...that "less viable" candidate you speak of currently has more delegates than Clark.

4. Although you're a dirty Knicks fan, you do have a point.
True "dat," as the kids say. Maybe the guy Wes knocked fists with in the Outkast spot can teach him that phrase.

Later.

9. Hey Man, Don't Deny Me This... :-)
The Knicks actually have a future for the first time in, like, four seasons. I'm enjoyin' it while I can... ;-)

5. how about waiting and seeing how it turns out
So far Dean has won one (DC) and lost one (Iowa) yet he did better than three other candidates in Iowa--easily beating the man who everyone thought a few months ago was the easy winner in Iowa (Gep). Now let's see how it goes in NH. Dean is still in the thick of it there. He could win it even. But what will your guy do if he comes in fourth in NH after having the state all to himself for a month? will he "suck it up and take it like a man"? and will you "switch to a more viable candidate"???

6. Melo....you know, I think this is going to turn out alright
He doesn't have to go on a funny or late night talkshow to shrug this off. I think that everyone is just getting their digs in on him, and they'll tire themselves out. Soon the joke itself will become a joke...know what I mean?

Don't worry. Just give it a little more time. People will come to their senses.

8. You are wrong! Americans have no Idea who the fuck Dean
is and until he goes on a TV show that people actually watch. All that money, time, and effort is for naught. Look it saved Hugh Grant's career, it can save this campaign!

We have to wake up and demand that he listen!

10. Melody (and All Other Dean Supporters), PLEASE...
go to Dean's website, click "Contact Us" and write them. I did.

I do believe the campaign listens. Maybe his staff is trying to negotiate an appearance now. If not, they may need some encouragement.

11. The shows have to want a booking
I don't think someone, even Dean, can just call up the show and say "I want to be on your show RIGHT NOW!!" can they?

If Dean blew off a Letterman appearance before, then Letterman may not want him on now. Nobody holds a grudge like Dave.

12. Yes!
I've been suggesting this many times on DU for all the major candidates.
(and on some of their blogs as well)

The only way to destroy the stereotyping of candidate flaws or painting
is to create your own stereotype first in the popular culture.

This means continually going on Oprah, Leno and Letterman until they get sick of the candidate.

In Dean's case, he must neutralize "the scream" by going on TV and poking a little fun at himself. It will likely work if he doesn't wait too long.
