Washington Press Corps: bought or threatened?
There are days when I believe that the press has been bought just like a mob jury. Then there are days where I think what has happened is much more sinister. Sometimes I think these people have been threatened. It just seems like money wouldn't do it for everyone. What do you all think?

2. Neither. Just lazy.
The Washington press corp hasn't done its job in twenty years. For the most part, today's crop of Washingtohn reporters are grad school upper-class ivy leaguers who've never worked a "real" job in their lives. They're paid a very comfortable upper-middle-class salary to NOT report the real news-- IOW, anything that upsets the status quo.

4. Threatened --yes but this does not explain all of it
A threat can deter you from doing something you would otherwise do, such as publishing an expose on fratboy. However, it would not cause you to become fawning idiots, as the MSM have become.
Rather, they became fawning idiots because they are corrupt. They were threatened with denial of access but were so beholden to making mucho, mucho bucks that they kowtowed and becaming the fawning idiots they are.

6. Something else is up!
Could it be that they're being blackmailed, look how they turn and attack many of the liberal senators and candidates, often with nothing but some old wheeze that was disproved 6 months ago. They know they're spouting crap but they go over the top with it, it's like people that belong to a cult or something, or they gush about how Rush is a nice guy. Does this sound normal to you, coming from the month of a professional journalist or how they refuse to cover some stories at all like the WMD's.

7. Another question ....
you think the Washington Press Corp are honest with themselves and know they're whores or do you think that they fool themselves they're actually real reporters?
