From now on anytime that the media wants to make it about...
...the troops, make it about the Pentagon.

Last night, Scarborough was asking some guy, "are you saying that 'our soldiers' are targeting journalists in Iraq."

The con on with him was saying, "how can you side with the Italian journalist over our 'soldiers'"?

I get so sick and tired of these idiots trying to use "sympathy for the men in uniform" as a way to get around their actions.

Hackworth went after the Pentagon and it's lack of any combat experience.

Kate Adie, a respected British reporter who was in the first Gulf War, said the Pentagon specifically told her that they would target independent journalists, and that the journalists knew and had been warned that they would be targeted.

I would have said, "Our soldiers follow orders, and the Pentagon under the leadership of Donald Rumsfeld and Paul Wolfowitz made it known to journalists that independent journalists in Iraq would be targeted."

I guess, they'd go after "independent" journalists because they aren't bought and owned by the GOP backing corporate-owned, governmental, military, media conglomerate running this country right now.

What are some of the ways that the Bush administration does not support the military?

1. Hmmm.
What are some of the ways that the Bush administration does not support the military?

By sending them into unnecessary, preemptive war, for one thing.

4. Yeah, I know about that.
I'm asking for specifics.

I want to make a list, starting back to win he first got into office.

I know there have to be some people here who bookmark these things or at least know about some of them.

3. Bush & Rumsfeld's Pentagon issues abusive interrogation orders
Edited on Tue Mar-08-05 11:02 PM by Ouabache
When our troops carry them out, then they are labelled as 'bad apples' by Bush, Rumsfeld and the Pentagon. That is one way that Bush does not support our troops.

Of course, what would he know about supporting the troops? When it was his turn to serve in Vietnam he fled to the Texas Air National Guard, and was not even present on duty there for long periods of time and 'failed to achieve' at least one physical exam that was a requirement for continued service in the Guard, however, for some reason he was never activated into the regulars for that failure, as any other Guard member of that time, in similar circumstances, would have been and WAS.

Bush is no supporter of OUR troops.

5. That's an example of how the Repugs misdirect. If something goes wrong,
they have already set it up so that actions in Iraq are what the "soldiers" are doing not the Pentagon. American have an emotional attachment to the soldiers and could care less about how the folks at the Pentagon feel. So to pass new bills and to get more money, it will be about the soldiers. They also know that if it about the soldiers, anyone who talks anti-war will be jumped on by people who will can they are speaking against our soldiers instead of listening to what is said and apply it to Pentagon decisions.

6. Oh, sure "our soldiers" go around and spontaneously do things
with no guidance from anyone above them. 'Cause you know, they're trained to be independant thinkers.

Bah.

This is just like wrapping themselves in the flag.

I hate these people. Did I ever tell you I hate these people. Esp when they resort to things like this.

These motherfuckers aren't even on the side of the soldiers themselves, or they wouldn't be wasting their lives or sending them out unequiped.
