Hypocrite. Asshat.
He should be worrying about his own legal problems instead of interfering in someone else's tragedy.

6. Just in case anyone needed more proof that Republicans don't care |
|
about anything, at all, then this case is it.
The hypocracy makes me want to puke. Exploiting the hell out of this woman and her family's conflict just to win political points.
Republicans don't care whether she lives or dies. She is just a symbol.
Just like a fetus.

For some reason, this situation is starting to remind me of that story.

had anyone linked Bush's reduction in funding for brain injury research to TS? I mean, if in 15 years we have the medical ability to cure someone like Terry, this whole tragidy would be avoided in the future. If they really cared about her, they would fund brain injury research fully and call THAT the Terry law or fund or whatever.
OTOH, maybe they are afraid that people with fully functioning brains would tend to vote democrat.
edit - typo

For the 1,000,000,000,000,000 time: she has no Cerebral Cortex. There is no 'cure' for that, now or ever. Even if we develop the technology to grow a new cerebral cortex, the result would not be a cure for 'Terri' it would be a new individual inside the body formerly known as 'Terri'. Oh and the fundies would be dead set against that sort of technology anyhow.
What might have helped is research on how to prevent the sort of deterioration that happened to Terri after her initial trauma. In her current condition there is nothing to cure.
