She cannot swallow without choking. Maybe that is there point. Choke her--that way she has to go to the hospital and at least she get's IV's to keep her hydrated. SICK.

Swallowing food or water is a voluntary action requiring conscious awareness. This is why you don't pour water down an unconscious person's throat and why someone can choke to death on their own vomit while unconscious.
She would drown.

pneumonia"--when people like Terri are encouaged to swallow (this is somethings given as the medical legel for death--as a consequense of food getting into the lungs). We do have a primitive relflex but it is for our protection--the body is trying to tell us in these circumstances ---NO__DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS ACTION OF SWALLOWING!!

Terri's former Guardian Ad Litem explained thoroughly on Nightline that Terri can't swallow.
He also indicated that she had "swallow tests" performed a few years after she had the initial heart attack. Those tests indicated that she was unable to swallow.
Her husband and his attorney have both also said she can't swallow.
I suppose that's the reason for the feeding tube.

of a loved one. i felt sorry for her. i had horror visions in my head about what she would go thru. then i started listening to people that have actually watched those they love die. adn i talked to friends who have taken carre of loved ones who have died.
all those that have experience tell me it is nothing to what i thought it was
seeing how i have never experienced, i am clever enough to listen and learn from those that experienced
but thousand, know better
on edit, this is why bush and repugs arent going to get away. too many have done. they are calling into question peoples experience, powerful experience with loved ones. they are accusing those that have made tough decisions to pull plug. they are offending a lot of people. they are hurting a lot of people. and this experience is too big a deal for so many people, they will protect their experience with all they have. they wont be swayed. and they will be disgusted
