Fox News: "Blame liberals for high oil and gas prices!"
http://mediamatters.org/items/200504280007

On the April 28 edition of Fox News Live, as Fox News host David Asman promoted Fox's upcoming Saturday show Forbes on Fox, by saying it would "focus in on exactly who's responsible for high gas prices -- it's not who you might think," the on-screen text read: "Blame liberals for high oil and gas prices!"

Good grief...I give up! These are the things that keep me tired, cynical and almost devoid of any hope for the future. Thank goodness for DU! My refuge amidst the storm of insanity raging around us!

6. That is what I don't understand
Why is Fox so helpful to the con men but have to blast liberals left and right? Republicians are in charge yet bear no responsibility as usual. Makes me wonder if Americans are realy stupid as other nations claim.

10. Of course they are.
And the more you watch Faux News, the dumber you get. They blast liberals because the neo-con agenda is so patently crooked the only way they can win support for it is to lie, lie, lie, and try to discredit the opposition any way they can.

13. There is a new Social Security ad running here in Maine...
asking people to call Senator Collins and encourage her to support the president's plan because you need to save your money yourself and "keep it away from those crazy spenders in Washington."

Nevermind that the GOP controls both houses of Congress AND the White House...

12. Absolutely right - It is God's fault - She Goofed
Edited on Sat Apr-30-05 11:15 AM by Coastie for Truth
It's all God's fault. When She "Created" humankind in her personal image She did not create enough oil. -

It's right there in King Hubbert's "Sermon In the Oil Patch" which is described, elucidated, and explained in the two Gospels according to Ken Deffeyes ("Beyond Oil : The View from Hubbert's Peak", "Hubbert's Peak : The Impending World Oil Shortage") and in the Gospel according to David Goodstein ("Out of Gas: The End of the Age Of Oil"} and the Gospel of Anthony Evans' in his Revelations ("An Introduction to Economic Geology and Its Environmental Impact").

There's also two good Church Histories, one by Saint William of Engdahl, "A Century Of War : Anglo-American Oil Politics and the New World Order" and another by Saint Craig of Unger, "House of Bush, House of Saud: The Secret Relationship Between the World's Two Most Powerful Dynasties"

This is the Time of Tribulations before the Battle of Armageddon and the Apocalypse. Repent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

11. This reminds me of when I first heard about hydrogen cars.
It was in the early 1980s and a co-worker and I were joking about how instead of exhaust fumes, hydrogen cars would emit little mushroom-shaped clouds. I realize now, of course, that since Clinton was alive then, he bears responsibility for failing to "invent" or promote hydrogen cars. Actually, he's pretty much to blame for everything that's gone wrong, as we all know. Even World War II, which was before he was born but his mother was alive, right? <sarcasm off now>

Geez...!

14. They are right those Saudi liberals should not embrace free markets.
by selling a limited commodity for the best price.

Bush keeps claiming it is a problem that has been building for awhile - so why didn't he do something productive in his first 4 years? How about promoting energy efficient cars and conservation as a minimum?

18. He will probably defecate that the tax cuts came too late,
for big business to "solve" the energy crisis. That Sudan offered Bill Clinton the plans for a usable fusion reactor three times, and the Bill Clinton did "nothing". He'll say Teddy Kennedy killed the 100 mpg carburetor. He'll propable squeeze from his pig jowls John Kerry and Jane Fonda killed the luminous ether program which could have powered the US for a thousand years. Freeper trolls, educated and uneducated, will orgy over every word of it. On and on and on.

28. WTF?
I can't believe the amount of bullshit they will show. In fact, I at first thought this post was a joke. How in the hell are they gonna spin high gas and oil prices onto liberals? They got their damn energy bill, drilling shall commence, and most likely America won't see shit for oil from the whole thing. Crazy I tell ya!

29. Blame Reagan. Carter and Anderson tried back in 1980 to set us on
the correct path of sacrifice, conservation and alternative fuels. John Anderson, the Independent running for President tried to get a 50 cent gasoline tax that would go for research into alternative fuels and help the deficit. But good old Ronnie spoofed them, made fun of them, and demeaned Carter and Anderson in public debates. Ronnie stated that the American people should not have to sacrifice for anything. The RW wing once again could afford the prices and had most of the gas guzzeling "toys" to play with (yachts, autos, trucks, motor homes etc.) The public went along with Ronnie then who was also poking fun and attacking Carter for his human rights positions. Ronnie believed and stated that we should keep our noses out of other nations' business...especially the ones in which we were shoring up puppet brutal dictators.
