he discussed the primary.
It was very funny in person. It will be on in a couple of hours here on the west coast(8:00 PM), but you east coasters could have seen it already, I know it's broadcast live there. And I think it will be replayed again there when it's 11:00 or 11:30 there.
It was good. They interviewed John Edwards before the show started, and the replayed it. So we who got there on time saw him twice. He did very well in the interview
It was a very liberal night, David Frum did a weak job of trying to balance against Bill, some liberal woman who's name I forget, Richard Belzer, as well as the interviews with liberals Edwards and Ralph Nader.
Overall it was a good show. I wonder why there are no threads on it. Did you east coasters forget?

After seeing Maher on Tavis Smiley last night I've lost interest in what he has to say. He showed that he's not willing to get behind the media perception and discuss what's really going on. Doesn't seem he gets his information from anywhere other than TV...

Maher has his funny moments, but I would not place any bets on who will win the nomination based on his insights. He is not very substantive on the issues. Mostly reactionary and sometimes funny. IMHO.

Yes, I am Dean first, ABBL second. But his lack of insight went so much further than the whole Dean speech issue. I posted a thread yesterday on it...let me dig it up. On edit: Watching Bill Maher on Tavis Smiley, and what a disappointment

come back as guests. Still, I think Belzer and Chideya in particular were pretty good at poking holes in his arguments. And by the level of applause, the majority of the audience was not buying Frum either.

Why didn't they slam that bull-shit speech writer harder. If I understood correctly he was the guy that put those 16 words in the SOTU speech last year. They should of been a lot harder on him. Bill was throwing softballs tonight.

when Edwards was speaking?
It's on HBO West right now. It's great so far. I loved the intro with the little girl writing the letter--LMAO!
