1. Bogus quiz! Takes into account issues instead of polls and money!
Edited on Fri Jan-23-04 09:43 PM by ThirdWheelLegend
How can you trust something that rates candidates on issues and not poll numbers and magazine covers?

It's all hogwash.

anyway...

1. Kucinich 100%
2. Sharpton 88%
3. Kerry 82%
Last Place: Bush 1% I guess you can't disagree with someone all the time.

Hey that is exactly my top 3. before and after Iowa...

2. 100% match on Dennis
Then Sharpton!!! 88% kerry 84% dean 81% clark 81% edwards 76% lieberman 68%

That lines up with my "thinking" except sharpton is someone i seriously know very little about, though i respect him.

I hope he joins the administration that wins... if kucinich did not exist, Al might very well be my champion.... and in a way he is already from what i hear... he is a man of great integrity.

7. 100% on Kucinich, 94% with Sharpton.
This seems like a common result here. But I base my support on which candidate has best chance of beating bush, and IMO that person is John Edwards, easily.

13. Lets Compare Kerry and Edwards
According to this the major differences between Kerry and Edwards are:

Edwards opposes requiring safety courses and licenses before buying a gun and Kerry supports it.

Edwards opposes allowing lawsuits against gun manufacturers (odd, for a lawyer, don't you think?) and Kerry supports it.

Edwards opposes cap payments to the wealthy and Kerry supports it.

(note - what ARE cap payments?)

that's all I could find between them. Sounds like they'd be great running mates to me. :)

Now THIS is a Presidential selector!

Edwards 71%
Lieberman 61%

The last two are pretty revealing about why some Kucinich supporters have such problems with them. 61%, Joe? Day-YUM!

Ok, so I backed up a page and resubmitted my responses to include all the potential candidates- First that Bumped Dennis down to second place with 91%, Below Sharpton-

But the kicker was they put the Commander in Thief in there at the very bottom, but claim he scored 81% agreement with my issues- Uuuuhhh, can we say spin?!

Higher than I thought.
6 Edwards Score: 86%
hmmm...
7 Lieberman Score: 77%
Much higher than I thought.
8 Bush Score: 16%
Embarassing. But I think it's artificially inflated because it claims Bush had military service, and I don't think deserters should be counted as serving.

33. When you get the results page
you can click a name and there's a link that says "compare to other candidates". From there it lets you select which candidates to compare and see how they categorize the responses by candidate.

28. Dean and Kerry tie
In my poll. Clark doesn't appear at all because I checked prior elected office essential. If I don't check that he comes in at number 5. That surprised me.

It actually has Kucinich matching me at 100%. Dean mainly loses points on my scale for his gun positions, but I don't care that much about that issue in the whole scheme of things.

Oddly it says Kerry "strongly opposes" the Patriot Act even though he voted for it, so I am not sure how useful this thing is.

I am happy to say that Bush gets less than 10% and interestingly Lieberman is at 65%, so maybe he' not all bad.

29. Hmm so even without the gun issue, Kucinich is still 100%
Kucinich 100%, you brush that off to the gun issue. So even without that issue, Kucinich is still 100%. Yet you still brush him off? :)

Anyway I would think that it is more than the gun issue. How did you vote on NAFTA issue? Patriot Act issue? Troops issue? Military spending issue? Health care issue?

Kucinich and Dean differ on all those.

But that quiz is kinda bogus as it has some old, unclarified positions for the candidates and there is a bias against non-office holders or military men
