Oh, the inconsistencies in reporting today's "event."

I first noticed it when Scotty McClellan was recanting the timeline for the transcribers during his press conference. He couldn't keep it straight what direction the plane was going, etc. Minor, but it seems as if the Press Officer would have actual facts before he started spouting authoritatively what happened.

Before the press conference, though, Leslie Blitzer was talking to some guy or a senator or something...I forgot who it was. The senator was saying how smooth this had all gone, and how we obviously learned so much after 9/11, and how calmly and cooly the Capitol Police were in getting people out. Okay.

But I was just watching Circularfire on CNN, and all they could they talk about was the utter pandemonium, with Capitol Police screaming at people to take off their shoes and run like hell. The Circularfire crew all seemed to agree that it was an embarrassing showing today.

So, it appears, no one really had a clue what the fuck was happening after the billions of dollars spent to make us "secure," and our civil rights stripped to keep us "secure."

Sheesh. What a total crock of shit this was. I'm not even sure what my point is, except that it reinforces my impression that BushCo has done NOTHING with the billions and billios it has taken from us except hand it over to Halliburton.
