Overheard dinner conversation (of Clark interest)...
My wife and I were at a fairly high end restaurant last night. She has a Clark pin attached to her purse. Someone at a nearby table of six noticed it. They thought that we couldn't hear them, but we could. These Republicans were discussing whether they could vote in the Democratic primary against Clark. If you remember, there was a Big crossover vote in the Democratic primary in my district to derail Cynthia McKinney.

Make your own conclusions.

(I accidentally posted this in the General Discussion forum last night. It was locked (rather than moved), so I decided to re-post it this morning in the proper place)

2. I find he worries them (repubs)
but many of the repubs I've heard also think dems won't vote for a retired general unless he starts getting traction accross the south or west.

4. The system needs to be changed
when tampering occurs on this scale.

Another reason why the 2004 election could be the most critical in US history.

Repub cross-over will be a small factor in the primary.

There are few die-hard freepers compared to average 'go either way' moderates, who will vote for the guy they like the best.

There will be some, but if freepers have that much time on their hands, so be it. Plus, many of them lack the ambition to do something like this.

In addition, from what I've seen talking to people, quite a few moderate Repugs seem to actually like Clark, and would probably vote for him over Bush.

Clark is the GOP's worst nightmare.
