Hi,
I am a newbie here with a confession, I never saw the appeal of Dean until just now.
After the media trashing of his Iowa speech I gave him a second look. His speech today was spot on.
Watching Clark after Dean was very interesting. Dean spoke in a broad sense, Clark came on and spoke to the minutia. We need both.
I understand the dream Dean/Clark ticket now. I still hope it happens even though it looks unlikely at the moment.
I will gladly support either man for president.

Seemed to me all the talk of equality and unity was directed beyond NH toward the south. Especially talking about quotas and such.

to let the president dress up and prance around on a flight carrier... he'll go halfway across the country for a photo op, but won't go across town for a funeral... that's bad patriotism and we've got to replace it. It's that simple.

I'm sure he'll be painted the angry Democrat now... but he is so fired up and they cannot stop applauding him.
"They use family values as a way of dividing people...to polarize them...family values is what it takes to value families...we've got a president that's let 8 million people go without jobs...family values is putting people to work...and if you're talking about family values, you'd better be talking about helping families get their families to the doctor, but we've got a president who has 44million people uninsured...if you're talking family values, you'd better talk about education...under GWB the average cost of tuition has gone up by 28% in three years... the only people I know whose incomes have gone up like that are people who work for Halliburton."
Shew! He's wearing my fingers out!

Says our country is divided... those who are the most affluent, and everybody else... he's building his speech on that premise. It's good!
"Two economies in America...one for affluent families who know their children are going to be just fine, and one for families who live paycheck to paycheck..."
"35 million Americans who live in poverty... we know they don't vote... but we have a moral responsibility to life these families out of poverty..."

88. Yes. Dean has really framed the debate. |
|
There wouldn't be anywhere near this much energy and we wouldn't have all the candidates pandering to the people.
Isn't that great? Our candidates all pander to the *people* - not to the unions, or the trial lawyers, or the abortion lobby, or the gun control lobby, not the environmental lobby ... the candidates are really speaking to the people instead of the special interests, and we have Howard to thank for that.

It's not boring like Kerry's or Gephardt's(I feel sorry for him that he's gone, but he had a boring voice).

ass. The last two brags I've heard come out of Joe's mouth were...
"I heard in a private conversation that Bush fears me" and "I heard in Nashville there's Joementum."
$25 contribution to the candidate of your choice, for the person who bests equals Joe Lieberman's name with lethargy, or intestinal distress.

115. Why so sensitive? It's typical politics. |
|
Clark's camp played the Kerry is a Washington insider card and Kerry's camp said look what Clark was doing as an insider. Big deal. Neither lied. neither went out of political bounds.
Fair field. Why so upset?

I heard him do it a few times on Cspan. It's no big deal. That's his card to play. Pols expect it. If this is gonna be your hobby, you should get used to it.

elbow throwing then maybe its too easy to blow it out of proportion?
The Ckark and Kerry camp have been elbowing a bit, but not too strongly. It seems the supporters who have blown it out of proportion.

People believe very much in their candidates, I have lost some respect for Kerry since he said he would never say any thing bad about Clark and then pulled the "Clark is a Republican" crap.
We're used to it, just not from those that should be on our team.

Clark's camp paints Kerry as a Washington insider and yet says nothing to explain that Kerry's time in Washington was used to expose more government corruption than any other lawmaker.
There is no real big deal here, either way. It's the two camps playing what cards they have. Clark's camp and Kerry's camp.

He had the on their feet chanting. Most of the crowds wait for it and holler along with him like it's the first time they've heard it. Most don't watch as much of this stuff as we do.
