Congressman Conyers' office. Over the weekend he had a note that said that his webweaver would be back in the office today and today the page changed a bit - but no stats posted on the page about number of signatures so far.

I am REALLY glad to hear that Rhandi announced it today.

Congressman Conyers' sent out the email requesting signatures over a three-day weekend -- I pray that the speed at which signatures are added will skyrocket now.

14. Well, I was disappointed in the current tally of sigs too.

Looking at all the various threads on this subject, it appears that some have despaired of any chance of impeachment; some think it's political folly given the make up of Congress; some are afraid to provide the requested identifying info; some just like to banter and and make 'clever' comments; some seem not to have the attention span to research the issue,even with all the links provided; and some, believe it or not, have no idea what the "Downing Street Memo" is. Too, I doubt that the number of registered users is an accurate reflection of active users.

Via e-mail, asking them to please do the same. Some of them just voted for Kerry, so don't realize the implications of this, so I explained. Yes, this is one of the two most important "actions" that we could take part in, over the past two days. The other was Will Pitt's PDA Iraq exit strategy petition, brilliant and comprehensive, IMHO. I signed both and passed them on to everyone who I possibly dared to. But thanks for including me in this. I received it from the first DUer I met, in real life, who I hadn't known before. name (of course, asked him first), my mother's name (asked first), going to add my sister and my brother-in-law her in a little bit.

I'm the only member here so I brought 5 more people in on the petition. Yeah, they are family and die hard dems like me, but they don't even get online and would not have known about it.

At least I feel like I have done something to try to end this madness.

So contact relatives and get their okays. If they okay it, you can put their name and address in there as well and be perfectly legal if they are registered voters. Start calling them!

the anti-war group on campus i'm in is 3 months old and has about 7 people. we got 100 people to come to our first anti-war rally, with just 2 days of flyering beforehand.

so du, with 70,000 people, should have no problem getting 1,000,0000, let alone 100,000, if everybody does their job.
