There have been many articles/postings about impeaching bush*/cheney.
The DOWNING STREET MEMO has spurred the latest rounds of calling for bush*/cheney's heads.
This is all well and good, and I've signed many petitions calling for investigations/impeachment etc.
However, there is one huge boulder on Impeachment Highway -- the Rubberican Congress. (Rubberican - rubber-stamp republicans)
Briefly: The House of Representatives have to initiate the articles of impeachment, if it passes then it goes to the Senate. Both the Senate and House are controlled by Rubbericans. In it's current state I'd say that there is a greater chance of the Loch Ness Monster swimming up the Potomac than there is of bush*/cheney being impeached.
The only way to tip the odds in favor of impeachment is to focus on the 2006 mid-term (s)election and bounce the rubbericans out. Now to some this may sound like a long shot given how well the Rubbericans are able to divide and conquer through the use of fear. However, there is a growing discontent with the way things are going.

People are getting fed-up. Dean managed to tap into it during his primary run in 2004. He validated that people were angry and upset. If the Dems would just stop playing "nice" and start tapping into the growing discontent we could see the Rubbericans bounced out of the house and senate.
One mistake the Dems keep making over and over again is to apologize. A Dem makes some statement, Rubbericans feign being upset, and the Dem backs down with some apology that then trails after him for the remainder of the campaign and the Dem goes into defense mode when he/she should be going on the offensive. So rule one - STOP FREAKING APOLOGIZING, rule two - STOP GOING INTO DEFENSE MODE
yeah, maybe people say they don't like dirty campaigns, but they pay alot more attention to one than a "nice" campaign. This brings us to rule three - STOP PLAYING NICE.
This means STOP PLAYING NICE in the House, in the Senate, at press conference and on the campaign trail. The only way to effectively stop a bully is to hit him harder than he can hit you.
