An Edwards/Clark ticket wins this election; Kerry vulnerable on cancer
Edited on Sat Jan-24-04 03:49 PM by cryofan
Kerry will be cut down by GOP rumors about his cancer.

Edwards can beat Bush, especially with Clark lending gravitas and defense credibility as VP. A lot of GOPers and media are saying that Edwards is going to boom. For example, see this:
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/01/23/politics/main595570.shtml

If not Edwards, then Clark should be our choice. But Kerry is vulnerable because of his cancer. Kerry would be a good VP choice, but not as POTUS nominee.

Kerry is a good guy, and I could easily vote for him; he is certainly a great campaigner, but let's not forget the prize.

6. Letting this type of attitude show
is really going to help your cause here in Arkansas (like you said your candidate could win in a different post).
Clark is not a MANIAC and DID NOT GET FIRED. Thank You for your great attitude.

8. A "maniac"?
Would you care to provide some proof for your assertion?

That sounds a little too close to the Republican "Clark's mentally unstable" meme for me, thanks.

9. I was thinking Clark/Edwards as I fell asleep last night!
That'd be a helluva beefake ticket, eh? :)

But I dunno if two southerners would hurt in other regions.
I do like that they're the two most uplifting/optimistic/charismatic
candidates. I like the military/lawyer combo.

There is the Shelton factor...
But I assume both men are adult enough to work out a truce.

I like this combo...
They're my top two candidates. And again, we're talkin'
serious charisma candle power.

14. maybe so, but
I'd hate to see another DOM act. I'd prefer someone from a more "developed" section of the country. I refuse to vote because I think a candidate will be more palatable to a section of the country where the locals would just as soon throw me in jail.

10. His cancer?
You kidding me?! Wow.

He's said over and over and over in his health care speech, "I was given a clean bill of health from my doctors."

Did you see those NH people cheer Kerry's bout with cancer? Cancer touches everyone's life at some point. The fact that Kerry plans to cap catastrophic illness costs for all Americans just about closes the book on this issue.

Besides, he wasn't taken out by a pretzel.

13. Kerry doesn't have cancer anymore. He's cured.
That GOP cancer scare (lie) won't affect Kerry, or anybody's vote in November. I don't think voters are that stupid. "Oh gee, I really want to see Bush out of office, but I heard a Rove rumor that John Kerry might have cancer. Therefore, my mind is made up, I better stick with the worst president in history."

Right.

Hey I'm kinda new here, can somebody tell me what n/t means? I see that everywhere.

It's probably something simple, but I'm stumped.

thanks

15. Let the cheap-shots begin
This is a non-issue. But the below-the-belt attacks on Kerry have begun. Note: Kerry is the only candidate who beats Bush in a head-to-head-matchup per Newsweek's latest poll.
